Does Widener Law Commonwealth have on-campus housing?
Widener Law Commonwealth does not offer on-campus housing; however, there are several apartments and townhouses nearby, a few within walking and biking distance.
What housing options are close to campus?
The Widener Law Commonwealth website provides a comprehensive list of apartments in the area (see Apartment Guide).
What is the cost for apartments?
Monthly rent varies and students are encouraged to share rent with roommates to minimize the cost. The Financial Aid Package found on the cost of attendance page includes a line for Room & Board for 9 months. This budgeted amount is sufficient for student housing.
Are apartments leased for 9 or 12 months?
It varies from apartment to apartment based on occupancy rate and other factors. Students should contact the apartment offices directly to negotiate rental terms. Many of the apartments know Widener Law Commonwealth and prefer to rent to law school students; hence, many of the nearby apartments will work with Widener Law Commonwealth students.
How can I find a roommate?
Admitted students seeking roommates may connect with other students via the incoming class Facebook group, as well as utilize the Roommate List (you must sign in using your Widener credentials).
Will my current year income cause me to get a lower loan amount when completing FAFSA?

How many days do PT students attend classes?
For a typical first-year, extended division (PT) schedule, please visit the part-time program page.
What time do the evening classes begin and end?
The times that classes meet each day do vary slightly from year to year. However, typically evening classes begin around 6:00 pm and end around 10:00 pm.
When will I get my class schedule and first assignments?
Class schedule, assignments and book requirements will be posted on the orientation page in late July.
When and how to I buy my books?
Detailed information about textbooks will be available on the orientation page in late July. Students either purchase their books through the Widener University Bookstore online or order books from another online vendor.
Do I have to attend?
All new students are required to attend all sessions of orientation.
What are the dates and times?
Specific details about orientation (dates, schedules, memos, etc.) will be posted on the orientation page.
