Trial Attorney, Law Offices of Vincent J. Ciecka

Helping people and making a difference – those were the key reasons why Michael Dennin decided to go to law school.  

Since graduation, he has worked as a trial attorney at the Law Offices of Vincent J. Ciecka in the greater Philadelphia area, a firm that specializes in assisting victims of personal injury, including vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, and nursing home abuse. 

Dennin has also been active in the community, including the Camden County Bar Association and the Camden County Bar Foundation. He also works with several groups to assist veterans, children with disabilities, those who are food insecure, and victims of domestic violence. In addition, he enjoys playing Santa each year at the special children’s Christmas party his firm hosts each year.  

During his time at Widener Law Commonwealth, Dennin participated in the Moot Court Honor Society, which he said was instrumental in learning legal argument, brief writing and oral advocacy. As far as classes, “the professors made the classes,” Dennis said, citing torts, criminal law, and secured transactions as among the ones he enjoyed the most. “The professors were wonderful, as was the campus.” 

His credits his time at Widener Law Commonwealth in shaping him to be a well-rounded legal practitioner.  

“Law school taught me to become independent, notably more independent, after college. It taught me responsibility and accountability. WLC was welcoming to me, and not cutthroat. My fellow classmates were smart but not arrogant. I made many good friends there and enjoyed Harrisburg. It taught me to think like a lawyer and to argue, and I really enjoyed and was proud of my education there. It gave me the tools and abilities to be able to help people in the practice of law. It is like a hidden gem.”
