WAYS TO GIVE

Your generous support of Commonwealth Law and our students can take many forms. Choose to support an area of the law school that holds personal or professional significance for you - from the Commonwealth Law Fund, which assists all areas of campus, to our Student Scholarship Fund, which bolsters financial assistance - or give the gift of your time by mentoring, volunteering, or hosting an event. The choice is yours.

Commonwealth Law Fund

Your gift to this important fund provides essential, unrestricted dollars for our overall operating budget. Tuition alone does not cover the cost of a high-quality legal education. Gifts to the annual fund support tuition assistance, student organizations, special project opportunities, and enhanced program vibrancy.

Endowed Scholarships

Scholarships help support students with tuition costs. In today’s fragile economic climate, student scholarships are more important than ever. You may contribute to an existing scholarship or endow a new one—focusing on your particular interests or honoring someone special in your life.

Planned Giving

Making Commonwealth Law part of your estate plan benefits the law school and, depending on your choices, may also carry significant benefits for you and your heirs, including reliable income and tax considerations. We are happy to help you to create a customized planned giving package that accomplishes your specific intent.

Student Philanthropy

We are especially grateful for our students who choose to make a gift while still attending law school. These gifts help support the annual fund as well as educate future alumni about the importance of giving back to their alma mater.

Commemorative Pavers

Give a gift that lasts a lifetime—and well beyond. Honor a loved one or commemorate a special event such as a graduation, anniversary, or achievement with an engraved, personalized paver permanently displayed in the heart of campus.

Specific Programs

Gifts can be made to Widener Law Commonwealth's unique signature programs: The Law and Government Institute, The Environmental Law and Sustainability Center, or The Business Advising Program, as well the Central Pennsylvania Civil Law Clinics, or any other program directly benefitting students. If the program you want to contribute to is not listed, select Other and write it in.
